silas!! ironic he's new 'cause i don't read the questions ahead of time, lol. the entire story revolves around silas and his 12 month old son, who is honestly the core of the plot.
while his son isn't anymore powerful than anybody else in the story- the powers he does have make him very tempting to certain organizations.
silas' story begins with his wife being murdered- finding out she actually was working undercover as a spy of sorts behind his back thanks to her very useful ability to read minds. word gets out amongst other enemy organizations, who then decide it's more useful to take her out and kidnap her son who inherited the ability.
thankfully, silas was being a proud father and showing him off at the time of her murder, so the boy wasn't kidnapped. now tho, silas is on the run to protect his son alongside friends, all while trying to explain he had nothing to do with his wife's murder and fighting off an organization with no face that he's never heard of before.

GOSH NIKKO AND ARLEN ARE DIFFERENT BOYS BUT??? I HAVE TRUOBLES SOMETIMES??
i chose these two considering they're from the same story and arguably show up at the same time (in fact, nikko's in the town to track arlen down). both boys are soft spoken and blank faced, who fall in love with another boy and refuse to go back to their hometown- which is the same hometown. but after that, they're kinda different?
arlen is much more likely to be bluntly honest. he hasn't any problems admitting his feelings for isa, and dedicates his life to him openly. nikko is much more shy in contrast, and it's hard to tell when he's trying to flirt, or if he's pretending he didn't notice you flirting with him or not.
i think arlen is also more likely to react with violence or jump the gun- but that's just a sad addition from his being raised as a child soldier. nikko was raised as an assassin, but had a lot more freedom and interactions with others.
